Planning For 2003-2004 And Recognition For Volunteers

Time:  3:00-5:00pm

Location:  844 W. Junior Terrace, Chicago IL

We will be getting together for a variety of reasons on Sunday, July 20th at Eliot Ephraim’s, 844 W. Junior Terrace, 3-5 pm.

FIRST: To hand over the reigns of Club leadership to Eliot and Rebekah Scheinfeld, who have kindly agreed to take on the co-presidency of Brown/Chicagoland for the coming year.

SECOND: To give some special thanks to people who volunteered for various Brown tasks this year.

THIRD: To start brainstorming and organizing our fall schedule.

If you would like to have input into next year’s schedule, lend a hand with Brown/Chicagoland activities or just find out what’s going on—PLEASE JOIN US!

Here are some things we are considering for 2003-2004: faculty lecture, young alumni events, sports telecasts, theatre or other cultural events, career networking, a gallery walk, downtown lunches and/or an outdoor event. What are your favorites?

We are also looking for new locations for both our monthly Board meetings (Sept-May) and our BASC central interviewing.

If you have ideas or contributions to make about any of these events and locations, please let us know or come to Eliot Ephraim’s on the 20th. We need to increase our Board membership in order to keep a full schedule of activities for next year.

We will have light refreshments.

Junior Terrace is just south of Montrose off of Clarendon (between Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan Road).

Please RSVP to Eliot at eliot@ephraim-associates.com or 773-755-4221.

Brown Young Alumni Pub Night

Time:  8:00-10:00pm

Location:  Sheffield’s

Come out and join us for the 2nd Brown Young Alumni Event of the year! We had

a great time at the last event and hope that you will join us as we celebrate

the beginning of summer (?). Hang out and meet other Brown alumni from the

past 10 years.

Sheffield's

3258 N. Sheffield

773-281-4989

The bar is located at Sheffield and School, just north of Belmont. Parking

around there is difficult, but you can easily walk over from the Red line

Belmont "el" stop.

We'll get there early to stake out an area in the beer garden, but if it's

bad weather look for us in the room farthest back in the bar. You'll find us

next to the Brown balloons.

Please let us know if you are coming by emailing RSVP@brownclub.org. If you

have any questions, you can also e-mail us at that address.

Everyone is welcome! Feel free to bring friends and pass the word along to

other Brown alumni. This is a very casual event - no drink packages, just a

regular cash bar.

Hosted by Rebekah Scheinfeld '97 and Marissa Lifshen '00.
